The Colorado Trail Take the backcountry route through Colorado's mountains and forests while touring the Colorado Trail. Extending from Denver to Durango, the trail is separated into 28 sections to make it more manageable. The best time of year to attempt the trail is from mid-June until early September, because after that the weather is too unpredictable. Access: Running from Denver to Durango, the Colorado Trail has access points in the National Parks and Forests that cross its path, as well as in many of the communities. |

Tenderfoot Mountain Trail Access: Take the Silverthorne exit from Denver and head east on Hwy 6 toward Dillon. At the stop light at the top of the hill, turn left onto Dillon Drive and then an immediate right onto County Road #51. |

Ore Grande Trail Ore Grande Trail starts at the Tenderfoot Mountain Trailhead. Visitors have access to a number of activities such as hiking, mountain biking, snowshoeing and nordic skiing. At the stop light at the top of the hill, turn left onto Dillon Drive and then an immediate right onto County Road #51. |
